Brent Stokes Owner/General Manager
I started Stokes Marine, Inc. from my passion for the water and boating combined with my strong desire to be an entrepreneur. After five years of selling pharmaceuticals and earning several sales honors with Merck & Co. in Southwest FL the time was right in the January of 2003! I resigned from Merck & Co. purchased a barge and crane and began building what is now Stokes Marine, Inc.
I completed high school at Fort Myers High and continued my education at the University of Florida where I graduated with a degree in Marketing. I learned a great deal about running a business and producing a quality product to last for many years to come from my parents who own and run Wyman Stokes Builder, Inc. a successful custom home building business out of Fort Myers FL. There is no question my desire to be a business owner stems from my parents.
As a waterfront property owner myself, I am aware of the difference a great marine improvement in the form of a dock and boat lift can make when it comes to enjoying your waterfront property and making the most out of your investment. As an avid fisherman and life time boater I spend most of my time on the water either working or enjoying our great resource with family and friends.
Stokes Marine, Inc. was started with a strong commitment to designing and building a dock that will meet all the needs and exceed the expectations of our customers. This vision is what guides me while overseeing all the daily operations including earning your business during the bid process, double checking the quality and progress during construction, and ensuring successful inspection of your marine improvement.
Tony Wallis Salesman
A 25 year veteran of S.W Florida, Tony is an accomplished fisherman and avid boater. His passion for the water connected him into the marine industry 15 years ago. His primary goal is to assist each customer in designing and building waterfront dreams without compromising on quality or customer service while being mindful of the customer's budget.
Sean Hearn Salesman
Born and raised in Florida, Sean enjoys any activity that involves being on the water. He recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Sean began his career at Stokes Marine as an AutoCAD Technician and now works in Sales. His primary goal is to assist each customer in taking full advantage of their waterfront property. Sean displays a passion for delivering a top quality customer experience while striving to provide each customer with practical solutions.
Bryan Dollar Construction Manager
A resident of Lee county for 25 years, Bryan is an avid fisherman and licensed captain. A state certified building contractor himself, he has been in the marine construction industry for over ten years building residential and commercial projects. Bryan served five years in the armed forces. He brings to Stokes Marine and our customers a “can do attitude”. As Construction manager Bryan takes personal pride in each and every project Stokes Marine is involved with. He and his teammates are committed to providing you with a quality built dock that not only looks and functions great but fits your waterfront living lifestyle and vision.
Sally Gulmy Office Manager
Sally Gulmy brings to Stokes Marine, Inc. many years of construction management experience where she utilized her Degree in Building Construction Technology. She earned her degree and graduated with honors. She has lived in Southwest Florida for over 35 years and enjoys fishing, boating, horses and the outdoor lifestyle with her family. As Office Manager, Sally’s goal is to create a very organized, well functioning office with complete customer satisfaction. She strives to handle all accounting & permitting issues with precision.
Sara Howard AutoCAD Specialist/Sales Assistant
College educated in the field of design, Sara has been in the industry, utilizing AutoCAD, for more than a decade. Sara’s AutoCAD knowledge allows for proper boat placement on a boat lift while her design skills provide our clients with a functional and enjoyable outdoor space. Her space planning capabilities maximize the available marine improvement area allowed by both local and federal permitting agencies. Sara’s skills and friendly, easy going nature promises a pleasant design/sales experience.
Anthony Raye AutoCAD Specialist/Sales Assistant
Anthony has called SW Florida home for the last 30 years, with 5 years experience at nationally ranked civil engineering firm as a CAD technician. He holds two degrees in Drafting and Design from Edison College and ITT Technical Institute and has been an active National Technical Honor Society member since 2009. Anthony brings a unique perspective to marine design being a certified Mercury Technician with a strong understanding of boating operations and his civil background. A family man with four children he spends most of his time with his family outdoors, enjoying boating, fishing, day hikes at local parks and lots of little league games.
Kevin Bennett Service Manager
Originally from Indiana, Kevin has been a resident of Southwest Florida for ten years. His hobbies include Golfing, riding his Harley, and spending time with his wife and kids. He is currently attending school for Construction Management. He has been part of the Stokes Marine team for three years, first working on the frame crew, then becoming foreman of the frame crew, and now is the service manager. Kevin takes great care of his customers boats when outfitting their boat lift or dock specifically to their boat.
